About you 

  • In addition to this you will support regular disaster recovery testing of the platform, provide guidance and consulting around best practices to NAB technology teams and troubleshoot operational incidents. 
  • Key technical skills required for this role are ability to onboard, execute, troubleshoot requests for EBR and look to automate processes to reduce request fulfilment.
  • This role will be an active participant in regular audits to ensure NAB’s compliance against the Group Information and Risk policy (GIRP). 
  • You are also confident with all related technologies and services around cloud Virtual Machines/Storage and Networking. 
  • Some key challenges that you will face are around scaling support and onboarding of assets through automation. 
  • With these challenges come opportunities to develop automated processes, working towards self service capability for the managed services function. 
  • Working within NAB regulatory and security guardrails can also prove challenging in such a large-scale environment. 
  

Your Skills and Experience   

  • Background in supporting Azure/AWS cloud services with a healthy knowledge in Windows and/or Linux system administration    

  • Experience working with Enterprise backup and recovery platforms (especially Commvault as well as Cloud Native backup services ) 

  • Experience writing and understanding infra-as-code scripts and Terraform Enterprise modules. 

  • Experience with Service Management ( Incident and Change management ). ServiceNow experience preferred.  

  • Onboard new applications to the service and configure backup policies per business requirements 

  • Monitor and manage the service infrastructure including patching, networking, storage and troubleshooting 

  • Develop and expand service offering 

  • Support colleagues with technical support and queries 

  • Support daily operations of the services to configure, monitor and manage resource backup 

  • A keen interest in automation and an ability to utilise tooling to improve efficiencies and repeatable tasks but also improve the day to day reliability and performance of our cloud managed services  

  • Understanding of good cloud change management practices with an awareness of compliance and security standards.  

  • Ability to manage and develop in-life security patching, manage backup and disaster recovery processes 

  • Excellent engagement skills, managing and coordinating between partners, acknowledging Security, Network, Architecture and Service Management requirements.  

  • You will be expected to provide out of hours support (rotated through a team roster) for cloud services as part of our 24x7 coverage agreement. 

 

Preferred Qualification and Certification: - 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred 

  • Relevant cloud technology certifications (preferably Azure or AWS)
