ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking motivated Senior Mobile QA Engineer (Automation) to join the Mobile Banking Team at National Australia Bank. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will join a group of very talented and committed Quality community, passionate about delivering a high-quality experience for our customers.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work closely with developers, explain the code, and understand what they do 
2. Understand and review unit testing 
3. Implement shift-left testing, automation first to test early and often
4. Code automated tests during build and regression test phases and integrate into the CI/CD pipeline
5. Create test plans, execute test cases, and prepare test summary reports for features built-in your team
6. Review solution documentation, and assist with the analysis, testing, and resolution of issues
7. Support defining the user story acceptance criteria and ensuring stories meet with a high level of quality
8. Influence your team to think of Quality first, conduct training to empower developers to a level of sufficient testing skills

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must have

1.  5+ years of hands-on experience in Manual & Automation testing on mobile platforms (both iOS and Android)
2. Strong understanding at mobile native application and mini app testing
3. Familiar with either IOS or Android emulators/simulators
4. Expert in Mobile native testing, both Manual and Automation (e.g. Appium / Expresso)
5. Experienced in creating well-structured automation test cases using the page-object model.
6. Experience with Cloud Testing platforms (e.g. Perfecto, Browserstack)
7. Experience with QTest or similar, JIRA, Confluence
8. Solid knowledge of testing methodologies covering all test levels, static test, and dynamic testing
9. Familiar with GIT Flow and CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins)
10. Ability to work in an agile environment
11. Strong English communication (verbal & written)

Nice-to-have

1. Web Automation – Selenium Webdriver or similar 
2. API Contract Testing and Automation – PACT, Postman, etc 
3. Performance Testing – Jmeter, Gatling or similar
4. Visual UI Testing frameworks – Applitools, Sikuli, Percy, etc
5. CI/CD tools – SonarQube, Gradle, JFrog
6. Exposure to AWS and cloud-native architecture
7. Understanding wireless technology (e.g. 3G, 4G, CDMA, and LTE)
8. Mobile operating system knowledge (e.g. iOS, watchOS, Android)
9. Familiar with mobile accessibility support
10. ISTQB – Certified
