YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate communications (40%)

  1. Develop and execute communications plans that support business objectives and strategies
  2. Write, edit, and proofread a variety of internal and external communications materials such as press releases, speeches, website content, social media posts, and executive communications
  3. Serve as a project manager for the development and production of high-quality communications deliverables on time and within budget
  4. Manage day-to-day communications activities and projects, including developing timelines, identifying and managing deadlines, and ensuring accuracy and quality control
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and liaison
  6. Conduct research and analysis to support the development of communications plans and messages
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in communications and public relations
  8. Stay abreast of new digital tools and technologies and how they can be leveraged to improve communications effectivenes
  9. Develop social media content plans that are consistent with the company’s brand identity.
  10. Create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting social media campaigns
  11. Optimize company pages within each platform e.g Facebook, Linkedin to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  12. Use analytical tools such as Facebook, Linkedin analytics to monitor and evaluate the company’s social media presence and performance
  13. Prepare monthly reports on social media marketing efforts.
  14. Suggest recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results.
  15. Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media
  16. Plan and execute special events, such as townhalls, conferences
  17. Provide counsel and guidance to less experienced team members

 

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
  2. 4+ years of experience in content marketing or as a communications/ social media specialist
  3. Excellent English writing and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
  4. Solid understanding of social media management and strategy
  5. Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  6. Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  7. Experience developing and managing projects from start to finish
  8. Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines
  9. Strong attention to detail
